Lots of Events during the Month of December

Staedtler and Copic drawing of Augustin Pajou’s Terracotta. Augustin created this lovely bust of The Marquis de Lubersac in 1772. It is part of the permanent collection in Portland, Oregon’s Art Museum

Please check out my Events page for all current shows. Lots of art happenings this month!

Just joined New Zone – www.newzonegallery.org – and have some gouache, watercolor and ink paintings in their member’s group show this month.  Nice organization.  I’ve always tried to participate in their twice-yearly open-to-all shows.  It is great to be able to show there each month now AND get to know some new artists and their work.  Fun stuff.

Headed out on January 1, 2018 to paint in Siem Reap, Luang Prabang and Hanoi with eleven fellow artists.  So exciting! I’m going to be sketching a LOT and experimenting with drypoint on Styrene plastic sheets (lightweight).  The materials for this should be lighter weight in my one-suitcase-for-both-clothes and art materials… Good thing it is warm there…the art materials greatly outweigh the clothing… I’m also going to have my five tubes of Royal Talens Gouache, Ink and travel watercolor set.
